We are doing a Zoom on these 3 body awareness issues and watching some videos on Horse Speak. Things you will need on hand a small plate, dull knife some kind of spread (peanut butter, vegie mite, butter etc. and a piece of bread or a big cracker. A small a 2 ft piece of 10" rope stick and a piece of letter size paper.

September 26: One-Day Clinic at Riversong Horse Sanctuary
"Experience Horses and Art "- $150 2 Spots Left
Our instructor will be Mimi Dejanikus, whose background is in art therapy.
We will explore the difference between when it is appropriate to be intentional and when its okay to just let loose and have no preset intentions.
Hint: Being in close proximity to a 1200-pound horse is a good time to be as intentional as you can. On the other hand, facing a blank art board with all your art materials in front of you is a great time to let your preconceptions take the back seat.
This is the theme of the clinic- no previous experience with horses or making art are necessary. This will be a completely safe environment to learn something about yourself while learning a little something about horses- there will be no rights or wrongs, no better or best- just embracing the unknown.
All horses and art materials will be provided. You bring your lunch, appropriate clothing, a pair of gloves and a hat.

October 3: One-Day Clinic at Riversong Horse Sanctuary
"Learning about Energy Types and how this affects your Horsemanship"- $150
This clinic builds core understanding about the three Body Types for the human and how that effects the Energy Types of the horse. This knowledge can assist you in how you deal with your own boundaries, assertiveness, hesitant behavior and much more. The horse/human Nervous Systems dramatically influence each other- with this information you will be able to adjust yourself so the horse can find safety in being with you. Being aware ourselves makes sense to the horse which can add Marbles in the Marble Jar. Limited to 6 participants for personalized guidance and support. We use Riversong Horses Sanctuary Horses.

"Sharing Space with the Horse" Learning the basics of Horse Speak- $150
This workshop is designed to offer people that want to experience to being with a horse- thinking of owning one, you would like to get to know horses better or you have always wanted to experience what it is like just being with a horse.

Horse Speak® opens up a new world of Communication with the horse. As the only certified practitioner of Horse Speak teaching on the west coast, LucindaB presents the work of Sharon Wilsie- (Essentials of Horse Speak).
Horse Speak is NOT a method. It is Evidence-Based.
Horse Speak teaches people how to "listen" and "talk" to horses using our body language. Instead of trying to teach horses how to speak and understand "English", we can now use "Horse Speak".
This is not a new training method. But just think if you could explain what you want in their language, I guarantee the training sessions are more understood. LucindaB did a clinic at Springhill last year and it was well received. This will not be a repeat of last year's. You will learn lots of new stuff.

November 7th: One-Day Workshop at Riversong Horse Sanctuary
"Helping the Human through the Horse"
Facilitator Kathrine Rozelle MFDRB- $175
This workshop is designed to offer people that want to understand their nervous system with the feedback of the horse. This is considered equine therapy led by a licensed therapist- but with a slight twist. We introduce the science, of the central nervous system in both the horse and human- with their similarities and differences. Horses are giant biofeedback machines who quickly identify fear and doubt in humans. We will explore the "how" of Self-Regulation and Co-Regulation by watching their reactions to our actions and movements.
If you are thinking of owning a horse, if you'd like to get to know horses better, or you have always wanted to experience what it is like just being with a horse, this clinic could be important for you.
